CONVENTION GOALS
In seeking election as a Delegate to Equity's first two National Conventions, Sid hopes to be part of a thoughtful and varied group of members from across the country who will consider, debate, and ultimately act upon ideas for how to make Equity the best possible union for its stage managers and actors.
When thinking about how to improve the inner workings of Equity—to make our union more equitable, more inclusive, more relevant—Sid has tried to identify where there are problems to be solved, the best solutions to those problems, and the best policy proposals to solve the issues at hand.
So, inspired by the comprehensive list of demands published by #weseeyouWAT, the advocacy for caregivers artists by the Parent Artist Advocacy League, as well as his interactions over the past five years as an Equity Councilor and Vice President with stage managers and actors across the country, Sid offers the following proposals for Amendments to Equity's Constitution, and Resolutions to be enacted as policy at Equity's first two National Conventions.
